Hedorah, on the other hand, see the film as schlocky so-bad-it’s-good at best and is just a product of 1970s psychedelic schlock. Fans of the film see it as a surreal masterpiece of Japanese art house weirdness akin to other acclaimed films such as 1977’s House.
